soft armor / cradled earth

A duo art exhibition by Hannah Croshaw & Meiya Sidney

soft armor / cradled earth by Hannah Croshaw and Meiya Sidney considers temporal patterns within wisteria seed pods, paper and stones, exploring the smallness and immensity of natural materials through writing, weaving and sculpture.

Croshaw responds to her observations of wisteria pods since the winter of 2025, when she first heard them splitting, through twisted clay, inscribed text, collected pods and written reflections. Sidney's installation, infinity in my palm, centers on tactility: hand-scaled stones and simple weaves made from recycled Taiwanese daily calendars, using iron-rich clays and semi-translucent papers to play fragility against permanence.
