CEC Community Blood Drive with Vitalant
Give blood at CEC's Environmental Hub on State Street
The Community Environmental Council teams up with Vitalant, a nonprofit blood and biotherapies organization, for its second community blood drive, with a goal of 15 donations. Donated blood helps local patients facing surgery, cancer treatment and trauma.
When you sign up you can choose a whole blood or Power Red donation. Power Red takes about 15 minutes longer, returns plasma and platelets to the donor, counts as two units, and is especially encouraged for donors with types O-, O+, A- or B-.
