D.J. Palladino: Spake as a Child
Book talk and signing
Santa Barbara writer D.J. Palladino talks about and signs Spake as a Child, his first book of stories: three tales of boys coming of age, from a Catholic grammar-school kid in the nuclear-age 1950s to a beach-town teenager in the 1960s to a monster-movie fan's trip to Kyoto.
Palladino has written about the arts and city culture since 1980 for the Santa Barbara News & Review, the Independent and Santa Barbara Magazine, and is the author of the novels Nothing That Is Ours and Werewolf, Texas.
