Science Pub: El Niño Facts, Myths & Mysteries
Marine scientist Erica Ferrer at Dargan’s
The Museum of Natural History’s monthly Science Pub looks at El Niño: what it is, what makes this year’s a “super” El Niño, and how it fits the wider El Niño-Southern Oscillation. Marine scientist Erica M. Ferrer, a postdoctoral scholar at UCSB’s National Center for Ecological Analysis and Synthesis, draws on her fisheries and oceanography research and shares some predictions.
The talk is free, with no tickets or reservations. Come early for a good seat and time to order food and drinks; latecomers may end up in an overflow room. A raffle supports science education.
